The Key Dates

25th April - Entries Open

The event is officially open and accepting entries! If you have someone in mind who deserves recognition for their outstanding work in the community and they fit into one of our award categories, now is the time to enter them into Black Country Heroes before our nomination window closes.

23rd June - Entries Close

All entries will be looked through, and checked that they meet the requirements for any awards they have been submitted for before being handed out to the judges.

24th June - Judging Commences

They will then take the time to look through each one in detail, looking at the incredible efforts that they have made and then creating a shortlist of finalists ahead of the awards.​

1st July - Finalists Notified

We will reach out to all of our finalists to let them know they are through to the next stage and provide them with all the details to attend our award show in September. We will also make sure they have seats available and can invite some friends or family to bring along to the big day.

15th July - Finalists Meet Sponsors

We will invite all of our finalists to meet the sponsors of the awards show. This gives the sponsors a chance to meet the amazing people the awards are going to in order to show their appreciation for all their hard work ahead of picking a winner.

22nd July - Finalists Revealed In The Paper

On July 22nd we will celebrate all the finalists in the Express & Star to show off all the great work they have been doing and give them the recognition they deserve from the greater community.

29th July - Sponsors Pick Their Winners

The sponsors will review the original applications and anything they have found out on the 15th July in order to pick their winner out of the remaining finalists ahead of the evening.

5th August - Winners are notified

We will reach out to the winners ahead of the award evening to let them know they have won and extend an invitation to the final awards ceremony with the sponsors and other award winners.

26th September - Awards Evening

On the 26th September we have our grand awards evening! The big day is all about our winners and truly celebrating their big achievements at the Molineux Stadium with a 2 course meal and presentation.
